Washington D.C.: The Capital of Statistics
Mason Engineering's Department of Statistics is located 20 miles from Washington, D.C., in the heart of a region densely packed with statisticians who work for the federal government, the biomedical industry, and private companies.
As a student in our department, you'll enjoy the best of both worlds: a beautiful wooded campus in a metropolitan area rich with opportunities. You'll have access to internships, jobs, research, and entertainment that only a city like Washington D.C., can provide.
Students and graduates from our department work with:
- Government agencies and contractors in Washington D.C. and throughout the Virginia-Maryland metro area including the Food and Drug Administration, the Department of Labor, and U.S Census Bureau.
-
Companies and nonprofit organizations including Amazon, EMMES Corporation, Capital One, Westat Corporation, and Noblis.
-
Major pharmaceutical companies on the East Coast.
We have networking opportunities through our advisory board and alumni.
