Concentration in Statistical Data Science

The Concentration in Statistical Data Science and the Federal Statistics Graduate Certificate enhance skills for roles in industry, government, and the private sector.

The Concentration in Statistical Data Science within the MS in Statistical Science aims to prepare students for making contributions in statistical data science for positions in industry and government.

  • Students interested in pursuing this concentration are required to take three 3-credit required concentration courses (STAT 572, STAT 663, and STAT 778) and two 3-credit elective courses.

The Federal Statistics Graduate Certificate targets upgrading the skills of current practitioners. It is intended to respond to the need for broad training in statistics, survey methods, and data analysis, including graphics and data visualization.

  • The program is extremely flexible and can be tailored to the needs of students within the federal statistical sector. It is also intended to be responsive to the needs of those in state and local governments, and those in the private sector involved in the collection, interpretation, or statistical analysis of federal data.

Evening classes allow you to take courses that fit your schedule.
