Biography

Zhenyi Huang is a Ph.D. candidate in Statistical Science at George Mason University advised by Dr. Wanli Qiao. His work develops density-informed methods for manifold learning and clustering, including gradient-based Morse–Smale skeleton extraction, density-weighted shortest-path metrics, and robust dimension reduction have served as a teaching assistant for undergraduate and graduate statistics courses. Beyond campus, Zhenyi completed a data science internship at Travelers and participated in the COVES Fellowship at Virginia Department of Health, experiences that strengthened his ability to connect quantitative analysis with real-world decision making.
