Biography
Tengyu Song is pursuing a Ph.D. in Statistics at George Mason University. He studied Statistics as an undergraduate at the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and later completed a master’s degree in Statistics at Columbia University. His research interests focus on robust and high-dimensional statistical methods, with an emphasis on applications across different scientific fields.
Beyond academia, Tengyu has accumulated valuable industry experience. He interned at Yum China and JD.com, where he applied statistical modeling and data analysis to practical business problems. At Columbia Statistics, he contributed as a part-time Data Analyst, helping with the analysis of the annual Quality of Life survey.
