Biography

Ling Qin is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Statistics at George Mason University, where he research interests include statistical modeling, biostatistics, and financial statistics. He holds a B.S. in Mathematics from Lehigh University. Ling co-authored two papers in applied mathematics on epidemic modeling: one analyzing norovirus transmission through environmental contact and another studying campus drug abuse dynamics through an infectious disease framework. These works reflect his broader interest in using mathematical and statistical methods to address problems in both health and financial systems.
